The ANARCHIVE collection was maintained for ten years, without being sprayed over immediately afterwards. With the absence of exhibitions and public events since the beginning of the pandemic in the spring of 2020, the poster archive became more valuable than ever, reminding us of the time before, to which the cultural sector wanted to return as quickly as possible. For a long time, the necessary visualization of art, which is now all the more concentrated in the foyer of Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, was missing from both the public and the social sphere. 

24/7 visibility is given, and the exterior space is mirrored in the interior space: The posters reflect the addressing of the public and are now located in the institutional interior space to which they otherwise only point and refer.
The ANARCHIVE currently comprises 103 posters and is being shown for the first time as part of the IM FOYER series, accompanied by a publication of the same name published by SORRY PRESS.

PORTRAIT_

Béla Pablo Janssen (*1981, Cologne) studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg under Heinz Petzhold (Communication theory/philosophy of culture), Asmus Tietchens (sound research), Anke Feuchtenberger (Drawing), participated in the Free Class at the University of the Arts in Berlin (UdK) and became a master student in painting of Walter Dahn at the Hochschule Bildende Künste Braunschweig.
Anchored in abstract painting, which is always commented on and questioned, his diverse work also integrates other media such as books, sound, installations, objects or film. Here, language, used as a poetic medium in an associative parallel world, acquires a special meaning.
Béla Pablo Janssen currently lives in Berlin.
Béla Pablo Janssen (*1981, Köln) studierte an der Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften in Hamburg bei Heinz Petzhold (Kommunikationstheorie/ Kulturphilosophie), Asmus Tietchens (Klangforschung), Anke Feuchtenberger (Zeichnung), nahm an der Freien Klasse der Universität der Künste in Berlin (UdK) teil und wurde Meisterschüler der Malerei bei Walter Dahn an der Hochschule Bildende Künste Braunschweig.
Verankert in der abstrakten Malerei, die immer wieder kommentiert und hinterfragt wird, integriert sein vielfältiges Werk auch andere Medien wie Bücher, Sound, Installationen, Objekte oder Film. Hier erhält die Sprache als poetisches Medium in einer assoziativen Parallelwelt eine besondere Bedeutung.
Béla Pablo Janssen lebt derzeit in Berlin.
