Lucile Desamorys (born 1977 in Brussels) technical and artistic skills are as broad as they are sophisticated. From 1997 onward she develops her unique language interpreting reality and phenomena beyond the visible and explainable. Her work embraces film-making, live-performance, fabric pieces, installations and collages; characteristically assembling talents from various disciplines for her projects. She has worked among others with Kevin Blechdom, Nicholas Bussmann and Luke Fowler on film and music, Birgit Megerle and Lucy McKenzie on installations and film. From 2001-03 Desamory organized Hi-Fi-Klubi in collaboration with LEM and David Trep. Her films are shown internationally in art context and she had several solo shows including at Kunstraum Düsseldorf (2013), Kunsthalle Frisch Berlin (2012), Galerie Lena Brüning, Berlin (2010/2008), STUK Kunstencentrum, Belgium (2007), Nomadeoase Hamburg (2003) and group shows amongst others in Tate Modern London, White Column New York and Kunsthalle Zürich. She currently works and lives in Berlin.
Die künstlerische Ausdrucksweise der 1977 in Brüssel geborenen Lucile Desamory ist ebenso vielseitig wie elaboriert. Seit 1997 entwickelt sie eine ganz eigene Lesart der Realität und interpretiert Phänomene jenseits des Sicht- und Erklärbaren. Ihr Werk umfasst Filme, Live-Performances, textile Arbeiten, Installationen und Collagen; wobei sie charakteristischerweise Talente anderer Disziplinen in den Schaffensprozess einbindet. Unter anderem hat sie mit Kevin Blechdom, Nicholas Bussmann und Luke Fowler für Film- und Musikprojekte gearbeitet, sowie mit Birgit Megerle und Luzie McKenzie für Installationen und Filmprojekte. 2001–03 hat Desamory in Kollaboration mit LEM und David Trepp den Hi-Fi-Klubi organisiert. Ihre Filme werden international im Kunstkontext gezeigt, sie hatte diverse Einzelausstellungen einschließlich im Kunstraum Düsseldorf (2013), Kunsthalle Frisch Berlin (2012), Galerie Lena Brüning, Berlin (2010/2008), STUK Kunstencentrum, Belgium (2007), Nomadeoase Hamburg (2003) und war unter anderem involviert in Gruppenausstellungen in Tate Modern London, White Column New York und Kunsthalle Zürich. Zur Zeit lebt und arbeitet Desamory in Berlin.
