Richard Healy, born 1980 in London, utilises sculpture, video, installation and print art to explore narrative landscapes – real, altered and imagined. His objects overstep form to fuse with pragmatic and architectural design in a conceptional approach.
Healy did a Bachelor in Interactive Art at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2003 and graduated with a Master in Fine Arts at The Royal College of Arts London in 2008. He attended a residency program at Wysing Art Centre in 2013 and was granted an artist residency at ACME studios from 2015-2020. His works were presented at Marian Cramer Projects in Amsterdam (2015), White Cubicle in London (2014), South London Gallery, London (2014) and Glasgow International (2012).
He is represented by Marian Cramer (Amsterdam) and Tenderpixel (London).
Richard Healy dringt mit seinen Skulpturen, Videos, Installationen und Drucken in erzählende Landschaften vor – seien sie realer, abgeänderter oder imaginärer Form. Seine Objekte übersteigen die reine Form, inkorporieren vielmehr pragmatisches, wie architektonisches Design in einer konzeptuellen Annäherung.
Healy, 1980 in London geboren, hat 2003 einen Bachelor in Interaktiver Kunst an der Manchester Metropolitan Universität erhalten und 2008 den Master in Bildende Kunst am Royal College of Arts London absolviert. Er nahm 2013 am Residenzprogramm des Wysing Art Centre teil und erhielt die Zusage für eine Künstlerresidenz in den ACME Studios für 2015-20. Seine Arbeiten wurden bei den Marian Cramer Projekten in Amsterdam (2015), im White Cubicle in London (2014), in der South London Gallery, London (2014) und im Glasgow International (2012) präsentiert.
Er wird vertreten von Marian Cramer (Amsterdam) und Tenderpixel (London).
